My MASSAGE Journey
Massage therapy has always been part of my life.
Growing up, I can fondly remember my mother giving me a massage after a bath. It was the most soothing, comforting, and safe feeling I had ever experienced. I always looked forward to that time with her, the unconditional love and care she gave, while I received this magical energetic transfer. This has forever bonded our connection. Years later when my mother injured her back, I naturally wanted to help, massaging her on a daily basis. It didn’t take long for me to discover that like my mother, I also had the gift of nurturing touch. I realized this was a path I wanted to professionally pursue, delighted to know I could provide women with the power of bodywork, assisting in the process of healing overall health and wellness.
After receiving my BA in Communications from UCLA I jumped into advertising and quickly learned everything from timelines, budgets, campaigns, fundraising, project management, crowdfunding, resource allocation, and all of the in between. I worked for large corporate companies and smaller startups that focused on digital projects at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Mitsubishi, and Honda to name a few. However, despite a rewarding and fast-paced career, I couldn’t ignore the inner voice urging me to make a change and seek what was calling me.
In 2009, I took a leap of faith and pursued my lifelong love of massage by founding Therapeutic Synergy. I went on to complete certifications in infant massage and pregnancy massage. Combining my passion of wellness and healthy living, I base my practice on holistic healing for women and their infants by incorporating a variety of modalities including Swedish, Shiatsu, Myofascial therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to running Therapeutic Synergy, I volunteer at the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital providing comfort care to patients in the NICU, PICU, Hematology and Oncology departments.
FOR THE LOVE OF YOGA
Being an integral part of an authentic yoga community is a life long love affair, the more you do yoga, the more you love it, the more meaningful friendships created, the more you can't imagine your life without them. Thousands of classes taken and several teacher trainings completed, I feel closer in understanding the spiritual aspect of yoga as a practice - on and off the mat, as well as through meditation and the connection to the physical body. It is a beautiful journey learning how all these pieces are seamlessly blended together. After years spent reading, practicing, studying, writing sequences, and learning about the benefits of essential oils, I'm honored to be able to share the gift of teaching yoga. I am a life long student and continual & regular devotion to yoga enriches my life and those around me.
When I’m not setting my crystals out to bathe and cleanse under a full moon, I love to travel. Immersing myself in other cultures, experiencing sacred traditions & rituals, absorbing meaningful spoken word, and savoring delicious food while learning the inner workings of other worlds near and far. Every experience along my path has shaped my own personal adventure, bringing a new sense of awareness, respect, and cherished memories. These adventures have undoubtedly given me perspective, grateful for the simple things in life, letting go of all that doesn't serve me and focusing on being present. I truly believe there are no coincidences, like attracts like, and each encounter and lesson learned is ultimately a unique expression of myself.
